For the effective implementation of the cashless economy more jobs are coming in the next few months. Demonetisation has broadened career vistas in the IT sector with growing job opportunities for mobile apps developers and cyber security personnel. Cyber security professionals will be in great demand to protect the devices/apps from data theft, malware and other potential threats. Approximately 30 per cent growth is expected in IT due to this techno-economic transition.

2017 could be the year when a Microsoft  or maybe a home-grown Zoho ends up creating a solution that is universal, and becomes the de-facto standard. In a fragmented market such as education it is important to grow a company like ours through partnerships and channels. The way forward is for companies to consolidate to solve common problems. For example, a common challenge faced by training companies is approaching colleges and corporates. So, if one company trains students for campus recruitment, and another trains them for a competitive test like GRE, and GMAT then it makes perfect sense for both the companies to combine their efforts.

The year 2017, definitely promises of higher adoption with more frequent usage and with the demonetization drive, more and more of these services being paid for online with services being standardized as products.

The consolidation in the start-up eco space that started in the latter half of 2016 will continue in the next year and even the larger IT companies are expected to be more conservative with their hiring numbers. Design, machine learning and data analytics will continue to rule the skills department whereas considering the push for a cashless economy; we would see more players joining the payments field. From a non tech perspective, content writers/creators, videographers and animators are going to be in demand considering story telling is becoming an important aspect of marketing these days. Overall, 2017 promises to be an interesting year for recruitment.

The Home supplies, Agriculture & Food Grains and Industrial Tools & Machinery are the three industries where SMEs are shifting to online market places. Growth of entrepreneurial SMEs is set to see a boom with initiatives  like Make in India. With demonetisation, increased liquidity in banks and falling lending rates would aid the SMEs. The use of online transactions will make it easier for the SMEs to take their businesses online. Mobile users on rise pave way to mobile apps and the concept of multi-channel shopping.
