The Goa Institute of Management (GIM) will host the United Nations supported 6th Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Asia forum. The two-day global event will be held between November 27 and 28, 2015 at Vivanta by Taj in Panaji. It’ll be preceded by a workshop on Teaching Responsible Management.

launched at the 2007 United Nations Global Compact leaders Summit in Geneva, the PRME initiative is the first organised relationship between the United Nations and Business schools. The mission of United Nations backed PRME is to inspire and champion Responsible Management education, research and thought leadership globally. Responsible Management is the willingness of business firms to incorporate social and environmental considerations into their business decisions and to be accountable for the impact of their business decisions or activities on society and the environment

The forum will be a unique opportunity for GIM to participate in the movement towards realising the UN’s vision of a sustainable world. Keeping the growth of the Asian economies in mind, forum aims to reflect on the role of Asian business and business schools in advancing responsible management education and implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It also focusses on motivating and assist administrators and teachers across business schools to integrate a concern for society and environment into the curriculum. This forum will be a great platform to promote networks among B-Schools and between business and B-Schools to implement responsibility-enhancing projects jointly.
