With our education turning hugely tuition-oriented, students either have to go to a coaching institute or take private tuitions. Mostly safety and money issues abound in this category of teaching.
To deal with all the above issues, online tutoring through some new app-based portals has been trending.
Take Hashlearn, an on-demand mobile tutoring app that provides students with online tutors. Students can get their queries answered at any time without prior scheduling. Whenever a student has a doubt or a problem she can open the app and click on the “connect to tutor” icon. In a few seconds the student gets connected to a specialist in a particular topics and gets his problem solved.
Hashlearn co-founder Jaydev Gopalakrishnan explains: “Hashlearn provides tutors for Classes VIII to XII in the science stream and for all Board exams and entrance exams, including JEE, NEET, CET and local State entrance exams. The students and teachers get into one-on-one live sessions. The app is accessible through all Android phones.”
Parents who cannot afford tuitions can take the help of this platform which is convenient and cheaper than private tutors. Those without laptops or desktops can avail this facility on their mobile phones as most have smart phones. “Most students in rural know how to use the mobile phone That’s why a mobile app is the best and students in these areas often carry a Rs 3000-4000 android smart phone,” says Gopalakrishnan.
Tutors at Hashlearn are registered online and get paid on a weekly basis. It is a convenient application that allows anyone to access from anywhere at any time. It is cost effective as students can register themselves one time for a token fee and avail the services as long as they want. Internet users in India have been on a constant rise, especially after the launch of the Government’s Digital India programme. Thanks to internet accessibility, study has been made interesting with many apps and tools being launched in the field of education.
