Around 69 per cent of students feel online education is better while 65 per cent teachers feel in-person education is more impactful, a survey conducted by Corporate Infocom (CIPl), an IT based company revealed.
The survey was conducted among 500 students and 500 teachers. Most of the students, who spend a quality amount of time on various online activities, feel that online education has a better knowledge penetration while a majority of school teachers realise the importance of online education but still feel that in-person learning has a more powerful impact on the students.
Whereas 69 per cent of students feel online education is better as they spend most of time online and due to the advancement of technology, online learning which involves lot of audio and graphical presentations makes understanding much better.
However, the remaining 31 per cent of students feel that in person learning is better since it involves a personal connect with the teachers and it makes the learning curve more influential.
Contradictory to the students, only 35 per cent of teachers favored online education while the rest 65 per cent of the teachers believed in person education is better as education begs for perspective, mentorship and coaching.
According to Diwakar Dhayani, CEO, CIPl: “Both the concepts of in-person education and online teaching have different pros and cons. It’s very difficult to justify any specific mode of education.
But as the technology is advancing, in the near future online education will be the future of the education. Having said that, in-person teaching also has a very positive impact.”
