Manav Sthali School, Delhi, is organising literacy Week on August 19, 2016 at 10 am in the school auditorium. Eminent personalities from Ministry of Education, embassies; principals of various reputed schools of Delhi and outside, etc will be gracing the event with their presence to encourage the volunteers and learners to carry their relentless campaign with same zeal and dedication.

Every year, the event takes place wherein the students renew their commitment by taking a solemn pledge to dispel the darkness of illiteracy by light the lamp of knowledge. The learners are also a part of the programme where they are provided with an opportunity to display their talent and build self confidence in them.

The literacy Week dates back to 1988 when National literacy Mission was launched by the late former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Manav Sthalians have imparted the gift of literacy innumerable illiterate citizens. Around 1,600 volunteers from Class VI to XI are working hard towards bringing about literacy and post literacy programmes. Under the leadership of Mamta Bhatnagar, director and founder principal, the school  was selected as one of the leading schools of Delhi to spread the light of literacy to the maximum. Since then Manav Sthalians are striving ahead with fervor for the cause of people and children at the national and international level.
