To mark the occasion of National law Day that is celebrated on November 26 every year, the University School of law and legal Study (USllS) established a legal information desk to provide legal aid and awareness to the staff members and people residing in nearby areas. The function was inaugurated by MK Gaur, Joint labour Commissioner of Delhi. While addressing the audience, he said that people should try to sort out petty disputes in family and in friend circles, not in the court. UK Sinha, Deputy labour Conmmissioner said on the occasion that there are three basic rights of a person — Human Rights, legal Rights and labour Rights. These should be protected. Prof. Afzal Wani, dean, USllS said in his opening remark that it is an irony of the system that the common people is still at the sidelines. They must be in the mainstream for the betterment of the society.
