To mark the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Centre for Study and Propagation of Human Values (CSPHV)of the IP University organised an interactive session with noted social activist Bhanwari Devi. The film Bawandar made on her life was also screened on the occasion.
The vice chancellor of the University, prof Anup Singh Beniwal inaugurated the function and said on the occasion that Bhawari Devi is a great example of courage and conviction and synonymous with the real face of human values of the society. Kavita Srivastava, a renowned social activist enlightened the audience about oppressive system of the society and inspired to stand against those evils. She said that the story of Bhawari Devi is an eternal saga of human endurance and survival in a hostile environment, a fight for human values of dignity and respect, transcending class, caste and societal boundaries.
