The Hyatt hotels, India recently announced that they have associated with the Smile Foundation to organise a series of fund-raising activities as part of the company’s 30 years in India celebrations. Called Smile with Hyatt — Making a Difference, this unique programme will enable smile to support underprivileged children for one year through their ‘Mission Education’ projects.
Funds for this programme will be raised through a generous donation from Hyatt hotels in India, as well as the sale of contemporary art by well-known Indian artists in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and other cities which have been curated by the Smile foundation. This will be followed by Hyatt’s ‘30 Days of Giving’ associate donations and internal volunteer events for ‘Mission Education’.
With a humanitarian outlook on celebrating Hyatt’s 30 anniversary in India, the event helps reiterate Hyatt’s commitment to making a difference in the communities where their hotels are located. This initiative reflects on the conviction of the global Hyatt Thrive platform in understanding a community’s most pressing issues, sourcing resolutions and providing focused collaborative efforts in creating a significant global impact. There will be a preview of the art on November 30, 2013 between 4 to 6 pm in Soma, Grand Hyatt Kalina. The art will be available for sale from December 2, 2013 on the website— www.smilefoundationindia.org/art.htm.
