The Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management and Research (BVIMR), recently conducted Guruvandana 2013 to mark a tribute by the students to the contributions made by the teachers in providing education.

It was celebrated in the format of corporate meet which signifies the offering sincere obeisance by students to their corporate mentors under whom such students will learn many things like corporate strategy, corporate requirements, vision and mission of such corporate units etc. The occasion came with a double celebration as  Bharati Vidyapeeth University marks the golden jubilee this year.

The chief guest of the event Alok Sen, chief marketing officer, CBM Industries (3M India) along with l S Bajpai, deputy director general, Prasar Bharati; Nitin Khurana, assistant VP (HR) Compact; Akshay Mathur, head of T&I Acquisition S&P Capital and Sarika Baheti, director, Vectus Industries limited inaugurated the event.

Sen recalled his younger days where he was one among the audience and how he had to toil hard to get better results. But now, Sen feels the time has changed. With technological innovation learning has been made simpler. Khurana voiced his concern about the lack of ready to hire talent among the students who have graduated. He cautioned them to pay heed to the advise that their corporate mentors are giving them. As for Khurana’s advise — ‘complete the given task with sense of dedication and commitment’.
