The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) invites applications for Master of Arts in Rural Development (MARD) programme. An essential component of this programme is dissertation based on empirical research in rural areas. This programme is designed to provide extensive knowledge and information pertaining to various aspects of rural development in the Indian context.
The programme will be useful to people working in various Government departments, NGO’s, cooperative banks and other institutes engaged in rural transformation. It will also be beneficial for fresh graduates interested in pursuing career in the discipline of rural development.
Eligibility for MARD is a bachelor’s degree or a higher degree from a recognised university. Medium of instruction for this programme is English and Hindi.
