Mono-printing workshop conducted

The Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD), New Delhi facilitated a mono printing workshop for school students from the Capital aspiring to be designers in the near future. The students spent an entire day at the institute which began with an exciting campus tour, followed by an interesting presentation where they were introduced to the design programmes offered by the institute and ended with a fun workshop on mono-printing. Mono-printing is a printmaking technique wherein the artist creates a pattern on an etching plate, the impression of which is then traced on a printing paper. Only a single unique impression can be obtained through this technique and hence the name. An artist can play with different drawing and print media to create one-of-a-kind prints be it on a sheet of paper, canvas or any other compatible surface.
