The BSE Institute ltd, the leader in financial education, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with New Zealand’s University of Otago to offer various programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The MoU was signed at the India New Zealand Business leaders’ Summit held recently in the Capital between Ambarish Datta, MD and CEO, BSE Institute ltd. and Professor Harlene Hayne, vice chancellor from University of Otago, New Zealand in the presence of Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key and Ashish Kumar Chauhan, MD and CEO BSE ltd.

Both BSE Institute and University of Otago aim to provide world–class education to the students through various under graduate and post graduate programs. BSE Institute is one of the pioneers in Financial Markets Education, and University of Otago is amongst the top 100 Universities of the World.

The offerings are the Master of Professional Accounting (MProfAcct) which is a professionally accredited accounting programme aimed at graduates of any discipline who want to pursue a career in accounting, and MBA. And  India Immersion Programme, whereby the students from New Zealand will get the opportunity to visit India and learn about Indian Financial Markets, Indian Economy and Culture.

“This MOU will set the stage for BSE Institute students to transition to Otago in accounting and other related programmes. There will be exchange and recruitment opportunities, as well as benefits from the relationships that develop between staff, students and, over time, alumni. These relationships may also lead to research collaborations and funding opportunities, and can only add to the very fine reputations of both institutions,” Professor Hayne says.
