Talk On Japanese Education
A one-day seminar was organised by KIIT college Gurgaon on the Japanese education system. The chief guest was renowned scientist Professor Haroy Fujisaki from Japan who is known for his research in speech therapy .
In his speech Fujisaki said that in Japan more focus is given to nurture scientific thinking. There is a tradition to follow scientific techniques. In schools, emphasis is given to learning practically rather than theoretically. The students of Japan have proper discipline. There is no rule that the guardians will drop children to school but there is a strange custom in which guardians make a chain, standing 25 steps from each other. The child is passed on from guardian to guardian from home to school. He added that these methods ensure that each student is given same attention from the teachers.
