COMEDK-PGET
The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) will be conducting a Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET 2016) for admission to post-graduate programmes for 12 Medical and 20 Dental Colleges Associations.
COMEDK-PGET & Uni-GAUGE PGMD
COMEDK has tied-up with ERA Foundation to conduct PGET-2016 and set up a common platform for assessment of students for admission to private/deemed universities and institutions providing higher education in India. ERA Foundation conducts Uni-GAUGE PGMD for admission to post-graduate programmes in medical and dental universities.
COMEDK-PGET and Uni-GAUGE PGMD will be just one exam that will enable the students to seek admission to number of institutions. Students can write one examination and either appear for counseling for admission conducted by COMEDK for its member institutions or apply directly to the private/deemed universities that accept Uni-Gauge scores.
EXAM PATTERN
It’s an online computer-based test that will be conducted at more than 60 cities in India. This will be a single session exam of three hours with 180 multiple choice questions each carrying one mark. There will be a separate test for each of the medical and dental streams held simultaneously.
ElIGIBIlITY
Candidates should have secured (Medicinae Baccalaureus and Bachelor of Surgery) or BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from a recognised university and completed their internship by April 30, 2016.
For Indian nationals with foreign university degrees, candidates should be registered in the medical/dental council of India. They should be citizens of India or overseas citizens of India, who have completed MBBS/BDS from a foreign institution as per provisions of IMC Act 1956 (as amended) and screening test regulations 2002 (as amended).
IMPORTANT DATES
The COMEDK will be conducting PGET on January 17, 2016. The fee for COMEDK PGET is Rs 3000 whereas, for Uni-GAUGE PGMD it’s Rs 2500. Fee for students opting for both the exams is Rs 4,500.
