Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation funds Bill Gates scholarship to pursue a full-time PG degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge. Scholarship covers the full cost of studying at Cambridge. It also provides additional, discretionary funding.
The Gates Cambridge Trust is looking for students with outstanding academic credentials, demonstrated leadership abilities, a passion to contribute to the improvement of society and a good fit with the graduate programme at Cambridge for which they are applying.
Eligibility: A citizen of any country outside the United Kingdom who is interested to pursue full-time residential courses in PhD (three year research-only degree) or MSc or Mlitt (two year research-only degree) or a one year PG course (MPhil, llM, MASt, diploma, MBA etc).
How to apply: Applicants can apply for the scholarship and admission to their chosen PG course at the University of Cambridge and a Cambridge College via the Graduate Admissions Office, using the GRADSAF form (which includes a Gates Cambridge section), academic transcripts, two academic references, a personal reference (for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship)
Scholarship deadline: The deadlines are as follows: Round 2 (other eligible candidates) December 2 2015.
The Saïd Business School of University of Oxford is offering Skoll scholarships for MBA students to pursue entrepreneurial solutions for urgent social and environmental challenges. The scholarship is intended to provide college and course fees of £44,150.
Eligibility: You must have started and grown a social venture that has been running for at least 12 months or have been responsible for leading a major expansion of an existing social venture or programme within that venture.
Must demonstrate some evidence of your need for the scholarship.
Must demonstrate how a business education can contribute to the wider development of the community within which you work. Must demonstrate evidence of personal qualities.
Scholarship deadline: The application deadlines are October 30, 2015 (Stage 2), January 8, 2016 (Stage 3) and March 18, 2016 (Stage 4).
