Material Science
The Missouri State University (MSU), one of the oldest universities of mid-west US, has announced admissions for its four year UG programme in Material Sciences. Material Science is a field of study focused on creating new technological developments based on cutting-edge scientific advances. The interdisciplinary subject prepares the student to investigate the structure and design of any material and how it can be optimally utilised.
Any student with a (10+2) certificate senior secondary education in Physics and Maths with a minimum average of 60 per cent in year Class X,XI and XII and IElTS score of 5.5 or TOEFl-iBT score of 61. A SAT score is highly recommended. The last date of applying is October 31, 2015. The fee of the course is USd 12,500 (per year, approx.)
PhD programme
Christ University, Bangalore invited applications for admission in Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme for the session 2015-16. The university is offering Doctor of Philosophy courses in Management, Commerce, Tourism, Economics, Education, English, Media Studies, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, law, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering.
The candidates, who are interested to apply, should have postgraduate degree in their respective field of research from a recognised university. They should have a minimum score of 55 per cent marks in their qualifying degree. The students, who have cleared UGC-CSIR NET/JRF examination or SlET/GATE examination or have worked as a Junior Research Fellow for an externally funded major research project for at least one year but don’t have an M.Phil degree, are also eligible to apply.
The candidates will be selected on the basis of written exam and interview. They also have exceptional academic record at the postgraduate level and renowned publications may be accepted into the Ph.D programme directly. The last date for submitting applications is October 25. The written exam and interview will be conducted on November 7.
