Mind With almost six months left for the Class XII Board exams, it’s time to find out any weaknesses in your hard work so that you can fix those in time. In these six months, you not only have to work on weakness but also need to achieve the art of presenting the knowledge you have in best possible manner. The best strategy to do well in exams is to study through the year and not wait till the countdown starts.
last few weeks should be reserved for solving previous years' papers and practicing putting answers in right frame. In these six months, time management, good health, good sleep, stress management will be important to have successful Board exams.
In next few weeks, most of the schools will have pre board exams for Class XII. Don't take this lightly. While writing these exams, imitate that you are writing real Board exams. Use the same set of time management, approach to understand the problem, sketching the diagrams, and even use the same geometry box. This would not only prepare you for board exams but also suggest you if there is any need of improvement. In the same way, if you think that you are in position of solving sample papers, solve those with same seriousness. If you can't solve the problem, never jump to the key. Give some more time. Use all those strategies what you prepared to crack a problem. Keys will not only make you weak but also harm your problem solving capabilities. While writing pre board, or sample papers don't take extra breaks. You can't take a music brake in board exams, so no point of taking music brake while solving sample papers.
These few months are the best time to work on areas of weakness and make sure not to accumulate a backlog. The preparation strategy in these last few months should be mix of revising syllabus and answering the sample papers. It should be done simultaneously in such and way that you will recognise your weak points and at the same time you will be able to create a set of strategy to crack a problem.
Especially in maths and physics, there are multiple ways to solve a problem. Practice in such a way that you design a step by step strategy to crack the problems. This would help you to save time in exams as well as prepare you to recall an analogy what you solved with same strategy.
With all the studying, revision, sample papers done, you have to make sure that your body fitness and mental state allows you to sit throughout the duration of exam. If you don't practice for sitting three to four hours at a stretch, you may feel tired and fatigued just after a couple of hours during the exam. During these last months, eat healthy, take breaks, listen music while studying. Revision is most important part of preparation. Make sure, once you are back from break, have a quick revision on the last studied lessons.
One last thing, try to set your body clock right before a week of exams. Taking exams is not only a rigorous physical activity but also it demands a fit mental state. If you have the same habit of studying in night and sleeping in daytime, most likely you won't be able do your best in exams. Therefore, while preparing for board exams it’s necessary to set body clock right at least before two-three weeks of exams. That means, sleep well in night and feel fresh in exam hours.
