For those who have been looking for a sure-shot way by which they can crack the JEE and AIPMT in India, there is good news. A new methodology on how one should go about taking the exams will go a long way in ensuing that there is every chance that one can get admission in the college on one’s choice.
“We found that there are many good coaching centres in metros but when it came to tier II and tier III cities there was a dearth of such centres. Hence, we wanted to introduce a pan India remote teaching — via the web — methodology to students who are even in very small towns and have access to the Internet,” Prayag Panchwadkar, VP marketing at Meritnation.com says.
He tells you that these live classes through the webinar will help teach millions of aspirants who sit for the JEE and AIPMT exams each year. Based on a four-pillar module this teaching method will give students an edge over the others.
To begin with, there is the remote teaching and while there is nothing new in this, what will give benefit to the students is that they will be taught by the best of the best IITians that the country has to offer.
Second, the use of technology will help the aspirant to analyse and keep a track of everything that he has learnt and it ia two-way tracking system. Once the aspirant is registered into the programme, it will be possible to track each and every aspect — the strengths, the weaknesses together with the external analysis as well which includes topic-wise tracking of the exam papers for the last 35 years.
“It is important to build these features into the course as it will help the student keep a tab on his progress. There are mock papers for him to attempt and on the basis of it, it will give a rank prediction. In other words, it will tell a student where he stands and in what institute he can get admission,” Panchwadkar explains adding that the biggest challenge was to keep the cost of the course in the bracket where all those interested in taking these exams can afford it.
The fee for a two-year programme for students who are in Class X is Rs30,000 and for a one-year programme it is Rs20,000. Ensuring that the course was comprehensive was another challenge. It perhaps offers the maximum number of teaching hours — 880 hours plus tests that are an integral part of the course. Then there is a the doubt clearing feature which allows the students to clear the concepts.
“It has been found that in a classroom of over a 100, a student will never get up and ask the teacher to clear a point that he hasn’t understood. Online teaching gives him an edge. At the end of every chapter, there is a doubt clearing session for two hours. If, by chance, the student is still unclear, there is a ‘ask the forum’ feature. These queries are answered within 24 hours of posting the question. Sometimes there are common questions, answers to these are also posted; a student can get this doubts cleared by going through those answers,” Panchwadkar tells you.
The best part is that before one registers and pays the fee, one can request for a trial class. There is a demo video as well that the student can watch and then take a call.
