NID-DAT
The National Institute of Design (NID) conducts Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2015 for admission to both Bachelor of Design (BDes) Master of Design (MDes) for the academic session 2015-16.
EXAM PATTERN
The written examination is of three hours duration and carries a total weightage of 100 marks. Visit the NID exam pattern page for further details. The exam comprises three papers, each of 60 marks.
The questions will test aspirants on visual design, subjects of design, thematic colour arrangement, environmental sensitivity, memory drawing, proportions and perspective, general mental ability, drawing skills, animation and abstract symbolism and many more.
Eligibility Criteria
For BDes , candidates who have passed or who will appear for qualifying examinations under the Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalents like AISSCE/ IB/ ISC are eligible to apply.The age limit is 20 years. Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and under 30 years of age are eligible for M Des.
IMPORTANT DATE
The last date for receiving the application forms at NID is November 21, 2014. Design aptitude test for B Des is January 11, 2015 and for M Des is January 10, 2015.
