IIA Group of Institutions comprising the JRN Institute of Aviation Technology, Delhi, and Bharat Institute of Aeronautics, Patna, offers scholarships for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering courses. These AME courses are duly approved by the DGCA, Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Captain Ram Niwas Memorial Scholarships — gold, silver and bronze category, and Prabha Niwas Memorial Scholarships — gold and silver category scholarships are to be awarded to 27 deserving students, and vary in the range of 10 per cent to 100 per cent of first year tuition fee. The group has also announced some more scholarships for meritorious students in the subsequent years of the course and assist in getting Government grants to SC/ST and minority students.
Eligibility: Intermediate plus 2 students with at least 50per cent aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to take the tests to be held across various centres. The candidates scoring 70 per cent or above would qualify for further progress.

The University of Sheffield is funding 10 scholarships for Indian PhD applicants who will be starting their research in 2014-15. The funding is available for projects aligned to the following Doctoral Training Centres. These scholarships fund up to three-four years full-time study. Successful applicants will be informed about the outcome after the closing date and before July 31, 2014.

One will receive an application/admissions number (within a few working days). You will need this number to apply for a scholarship.
Then complete the VC’s Indian Scholarships Application form. The application will be reviewed by scholarship panels.
Eligibility: Awards are open to Indian applicants only. Should meet the entry requirements for a PhD. Should be applying to start first year of study on a full-time PhD with the university in the 2014-15 academic year.
