Seminar on importance of voting

Manav Rachna Educational Institutions organised a special seminar for its students to awaken the young voters towards the importance of India’s democracy, urging them to vote and exercise their fundamental rights by taking the Voter’s Pledge.

Highlighting the importance of voting in a democracy, the seminar held the students responsible to bring change in the nation by their votes. Speaking at the event Col (retd) VK Gaur, Advisor, Manav Rachna Educational Institution said: “The youth need to vote to lead the nation from the current morass we are experiencing. Voting is not a fashion but a right that you as a citizen in a democratic country should exercise. Unless there is a deliberate, concentrated effort to improve the character of the nation, there can be no growth in our country.” He also said that there is need for self-discipline to reap the harvests of democracy.
