Delhi University’s Miranda House recently concluded its annual cultural festival Tempest, sponsored by lotus Greens.
The fest appropriately adopted the theme ‘Shades of Green’, to spread awareness on sustainability. The idea of the three vital Rs— Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, were utilised in all aspects of the fest from campus decorations to the events. Even the invites for the fest were handmade and delivered to all the colleges with a sapling each.
The fest was a perfect unison of fun, cross-college student activity and cultural programmes. More than 10,000 students participated in the fest. The environment society of Miranda House — ‘Vatavaran’, hosted a play on bio-diversity and an exhibition on best-out-of-waste.
