WE MUST TAKE SHELTER IN HIM

WE MUST TAKE SHELTER IN HIM

We all are living in orphanages without the shelter of almighty God

The Covid-19, the worldwide pandemic that started way back in 2019 and is still active in several countries, has taken away many lives. In this pandemic situation, children, who were never the face of this pandemic, have unfortunately been the biggest victims with no fault of theirs at all. With so many untimely deaths, we see thousands of children left with no parent or guardian. Just imagine! How does it feel to live in a world and be brought up without the security and loving care of one's mother and father?

Though many such children would end up growing up in orphanages, they would definitely miss the pleasures and protection of a warm home. One would agree with the famous opening lines of 150-year-old opera song ‘Home, Sweet Home’ that says, “Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam, be it ever so humble, there's no place like home”.

Truly, a home is considered to be the sanctuary for all its members, where the children feel free to express themselves, and are assured of peaceful and firm guidelines for their behaviour, growth and development. It is for this comfort that each of us yearns to be back home at the end of a long day, where we could unmask ourselves to parents who are ever ready with an accepting heart, where we could rest while the others are on guard, where we could return to recharge.

A person devoid of such natural rights has to be on his own. There is no doubt that he may receive on and off support from others on his way, but the perennial overflowing resource of parental backing is missing. Just think about it: Can we find anyone today who is completely free of worry and fear like a little child is at home? How many of us sleep at night as a child would when his parents are by his side? Not many, of course. Because, most of us carry the baggage of things to be done and anxiety for the future all the time, as a result of which we sometimes hesitate to trust even the closest of our companions.

We sometimes do not know where we truly belong to, who we are truly connected to, or where we are heading. This hollowness is because we have been separated from our eternal father for a long time now and are unable to find our way back home. At such a time the Eternal Father has to come Himself to the earth to find HIS long-lost children. He reveals to us that we are not bodies but souls, belong to Him, the Supreme Soul, as spiritual children and are bonded to each other as brother souls. We originally lived in the soul world, a place far away from this planet, and came down to play our part in this eternal drama of life. Even when everything material perishes, these truths remain intact.

Ignorant about our own basics, most of us are today living like orphans. We may be believers but we have not been able to experience the protection that comes from being the children of the Almighty Authority. The flow of deep, unconditional love of our eternal mother and father needs to be revived so that our lives could become green from barren. We really have missed our spiritual shelter for too long now. Just as we feel the need to anchor ourselves in our physical home at the end of each day, we must unwind and prepare ourselves for a return journey to our eternal home.
