Celebs kept mum for a reason: SRK

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan said celebrities are not scared of expressing their opinion, but if sometimes they choose to remain silent, it is not without a valid reason.

Citing the recent controversy over Sanjay leela Bhansali's Padmaavat where Rajput Karni Sena held violent protests demanding ban on the film, but many film stars did not express their opinion, Khan said they simply “ignored such non-constitutional people for a greater reason”.

“People said why are these big stars not coming up with an opinion and hiding behindIJ Honestly, we don't have to hide anywhere. The simple truth is, the more prominent actors talk about them, the more popularity they (Karni Sena) would gain. The ideal action is to ignore them.”

Ryan wishes to work in B’wood

After making a mark as an actor through his stint in The Blacklist and The Blacklist: Redemption, Ryan Eggold made his directorial debut last year with literally, Right Before Aaron. The American actor says the transition to taking charge of everything was challenging, but he is not in a mood to give up.

Embarking on a journey to spread love with his stories, the actor is eager to start a love story with Indian cinema too.

Expressing his love for Bollywood, he said, “India has been home to incredible directors and actors. It brings in different insights, experiences and expectations. Being exposed to a new culture can provide such a different perspective on things.”
