Kunal cares for animal welfare
Actor Kunal Kapoor has used the dying telegram service to urge the government to ban the import and sale of cosmetics that are tested on animals. Kunal did a good deed by sending the telegram to Minister of Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad as part of Humane Society International India's (HSI) Be Cruelty-Free Campaign. In the telegram, the actor wrote, “Honourable Minister, I am so proud that India has banned the cruel and unnecessary practice of testing cosmetics on live animals. However, if we don't allow such cruelty in our laboratories, we should not allow it on our shop shelves either. Please make India a cruelty-free cosmetics zone with an import ban on animal-tested cosmetics.” In June, the BIS banned animal testing for cosmetics.
The news that TAM has agreed to release the ratings on a monthly basis henceforth is partially true. The spokesperson from TAM said that this decision was taken only at the request of the broadcasters. There are misleading statements doing rounds, saying that TAM has opted the middle path. The change is only for the select channels who demanded it. For others the format will remain the same. Reportedly, CPT (Cost Per Thousand) format will be used for reporting the ratings for nine major broadcasters. TAM says, “TAM, purely as an act of professionalism, is fulfilling and respecting its contractual duties and obligations that it is bound by, with the individual broadcaster clients. This decision is basis individual client letter requests received by TAM from only specific few TV channels. Data for all other TV Channels will be reported as earlier.”
Gomez shares Bieber’s secret
Singer Selena Gomez has reportedly opened up about her relationship with singer Justin Bieber through a new song. The song, love Will Remember from her album Stars Down, has been leaked and it reportedly features a voicemail from her on-and-off beau Bieber. The song, which the singer had previously confessed is indeed about her ex, begins with a recording of a voicemail from Bieber confessing his love to his former girlfriend. The recording goes like this — “Hey babe, it's me. I just want to call and tell you that I love you so, so, so, so much. I just wanted to let you know that you are my princess. You are worthy of all the love in the world. You are the love of my life.”
