Yeh toh trailer thha, picture toh abhi baki hai and aab toh mai Salman Khan ke saath picture karunga. Main show se out ho gaya toh koi baat nahi. Main apne dance se logo ko entertain karta rahunga,” nine-year-old Akshat Singh who got eliminated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’s semi-final round tells you. Despite being out, Singh is cheerful and says that it’s not an end to his dancing. He plans to now focus on his studies and may shift to Mumbai from Kolkata to pursue dancing.
“I have to catch up with my studies and prepare for exams. My parents are planning to shift to Mumbai so that I can pursue my studies and learn dance simultaneously. Out of all the dance forms like hip hop, free style and MJ style, I enjoy the Bollywood style the most,” Singh says.
His best moment on the JDJ stage was performing with Salman Khan on a Dabangg title track. “Dancing with Salman Khan was a dream come true. I was on cloud nine. I want to work with him in a film. Another big moment was when I won the golden shoes for my MJ style act,” Singh says.
