Over the years many great movies have been made that celebrate friends and friendship. The latest being Zingadi Na Milegi Doobara. Then along comes love Day... and one begins to question directors Harish Kotian and Sandeep Choudhary and the reason why they thought that with a storyline like this, the film would make the audience sit even till the interval.
First, one would like to know whether this one is about friendship or whether it is about organ trading. Second, if this is an attempt to make the audience laugh, love Day... fails miserably. The over the top acting, the fact that the main protagonists are major losers and is rubbed in time and again and silly college antics ensures that this film hits an all-time low and drags you with it.
Ajaz Khan as Monty is very irritating. Sahil Anand (Sandy) and Harsh Naagar (Harry) trudge along on a script that should never have seen the day light. But unfortunately, for the audience, it was made into a 139-minute of sheer torture.
For those who would like to keep their sanity and friendship intact, this is one movie that needs to be given a wide berth.
