Koderma police arrested two persons, Anil Kr Verma (23) S/o Ajeet verma, resident of Gumo under Telaiya Police Station, and Sanjay Dangi, resident of Itkhori PS in a case of demanding Rs 5 lakh and AK-47 as ransom from a factory owner of Jhumaritelaiya.
Koderma SP Sangita Kumari told media persons on Thursday that Shrikant Gupta, owner of Triveni Gold Factory had received a letter on PlFI Organisation’s letter head demanding Rs 5 lakhs on 10th July. The arrested Anil Kr. Verma was working as a driver with the factory owner Shrikant Gupta. The other accused was Sanjay Dangi, Anil’s brother-in-law who was also working in Shrikant’s factory. Sanjay left the factory sometimes ago. According to police Sanjay Dangi, Birju Dangi, the in-laws of Anil Verma are member of the PlFI organization and are allegedly been involved in other crimes. According to Mr. Gupta, Anil was faithful to him and was working with him for about 10 years and taking advantage of this he has took this step.
