PNS

In a reply filed by the state Government before the Jharkhand High Court in connection with the seed scam case involving former agricultural minister Nalin Soren and nine others, it cleared that there were no warrant against the minister on July 3, when he was last seen at JAP-I Ground. According to the reply filed by the state, warrant had been issued against Soren on July 11 following which, a special team was formed to arrest him.

The Jharkhand High Court on July 04 had issued notices to the Home Secretary and the DGP questioning over the disappearance of former Minister Nalin Soren from JAP-I ground after paying last tribute to the slain Pakur SP Amarjeet Balihar. The court had also asked why Soren was not arrested soon after he left the JAP premises.

Non-bailable warrant had been issued against Nalin Soren and nine others by the vigilance court in connection with the multi-crore seed scam during the Madhu Koda Government in 2007. The next date for hearing has been fixed to July 22 in the case.
