Ranchi realty developers can heave a sigh of relief as State capital’s civic body has decided to expedite the clearance of building plans which has been waiting for the nod of Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) from long time.
RMC CEO Manoj Kumar who has given stall orders a month ago has decided to resume the approval of plans work by the end of March. Kumar sharing the information about the same said, “Earlier RMC never uses to maintain records of building plans approved by them in past few years. The officials never succeed in producing exact figures whenever I asked them about the statistic they drew blank.”
The RMC is now maintaining a monthly register of application received and plans approved. The file shows that there are more than thousand building plans which are waiting for RMC approval from past couple of years. “I have asked my officials to pull up their socks and clear the pending work by May first then commence the approval of new projects,” added Kumar.
However, on the plan of purchasing the much talk about software for envisaging the expediting of map clearance process Kumar commented, “I have asked them to come up with their presentation again. Unless I get through the nerve of the project will not give my consent. If I find the presentation impressive and effective then will definitely think of having it. Right now the plan is on papers only and can’t assure when it is going to find relevance on ground.”
Interestingly, the concerned officials are baffled with Kumar’s order and doing overtime to follow the instruction and complete the target on stipulated time frame. RMC Chief Engineer Naresh Kumar Choudhary highlighting the condition of the officials maintained, “We are reeling under huge work pressure. The officials are busy in preparing reports to meet the target in the given time frame. Some of the officials are working overtime to follow the instructions. We are trying our best and are hopeful of completing the instructions accordingly.”
