Residents of various localities of Nawadih block of Bokaro district, led by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha,(JMM) MlA ,of Dumari ,Jagarnath Mahto on Monday held a demonstration on Dumari-Bermo road to protest the non-delivery of food grains among the localtribals .
Traffic was disturbed for nearly two hours at Dumari- Bermoroad as villagers along with MlA Jagarnath Mahtosquatted on the Dumari-Bermo road demanding action against localdealers and block officials, who allegedly not delivered the food grains among the tribals villagers since three months back ,said MlA ,Jagarnath Mahto .
Sources said that a mammoth procession ,which included a large numbers of villagers including women ,originated from the local villages and reached the 15 miles and sat on dharna on Dumari-Bermo road.
Accusing the block officials and local dealers and indulging in corruption and they have been not delivering food grain under the PDS among the tribal last three months, JMM leader Jagarnath Mahto said. He demanded to know why food grains like rice and others material of such tribals villagers were not delivered, Mahto further added.
