Jharkhand Government may be on relaxing spree after the Centre put onus on the States to control the reins of lockdown as per local situation but the conditionalities coming with it as rider is sure to alter the practices prevailed.

As per the new guidelines certain set of business activities which were under constant shutdown since March 22 would be allowed to resume operations from June 8, provided they adopt certain sanitisation and disinfection procedures.

Sources with the Industry Department confirmed about the new do’s and don’ts list which is being shared with business establishments, factories, workshops etc of Jharkhand.

“We have been informed about the guidelines which are to be adhered with before we restart. These norms are relating to proper cleaning of workplaces, premises, offices etc where certain numbers of visitors are suppose to assemble and disperse many times in a day. The guidelines suggest that such places need to be disinfected and sanitised on regular basis based on possible threat,” said a senior manager of shopping mall in Ranchi.

Earlier also the Ministry of Home Affairs had come up with guidelines clubbed with the sanitisation formula as per the prescriptions of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health.

“We have the standard operating procedure with us following the Corona virus outbreak. When it is being said that the virus is here to stay and we need to learn to live with it. And it is perceived that the spread of virus is surging following reverse migration trend, such SOPs have to be implied as prerequisite,” said a senior official with the Health Department. He also confirmed about circulation of the conditionalities following the decision of the State Government to open places of mass gathering during the Lockdown-5.

At the same time business establishments have welcomed the regulations provided the activities are allowed.

“Business has suffered a lot due to the series of lockdowns. I think the requirement to sanitise and disinfect our premise on regular basis would play as enabler. This would infuse confidence into the people who would like to be assured before stepping in. If the area is disinfected by any certified agency and experts then it would help us in getting back our customers,” said immediate past president of the FJCCI, Deepak Kumar Maroo.

Moreover the Government is yet take a call over reopening schools, colleges, coaching institutes, especially considering threat perception the Corona virus poses to children. But many believe these are next in line.

“These would be opened sooner or later since our children are suffering. Being a parent we are worried about threat to our children. We want that schools premises, classrooms, toilets, buses are cleaned every time on regular interval by any reputed or certified agency those are trustworthy. This would mitigate the threat. Our wards can resume their classroom study is equally important,” said Manoj Singh whose two kids go to a reputed school of Ranchi.

Though there are some agencies that have already started working sanitisation activities but that is limited to smaller area and also lacks in expertise.

“Chemical formula is there but disinfection exercise needs to be conducted with lots of precautions. Also the material used should be environment friendly as well as non-harmful to people’s health. We are looking to start operation in Ranchi and couple of more towns of Jharkhand very soon to provide quality and certified disinfection services to private and public places such as flats, farmhouses, offices, schools, malls, cinema halls etc,” said Anuj Singhal of ‘Rakshakavach’ that has already started operation in Delhi-NCR and couple of more metros with all required certifications.
