Questioning the investigations being done by the State’s Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) into 34th National Games Scam, a Public Interest litigation has been filed in Jharkhand High Court demanding a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate.

The PIl was filed by Sushil Kumar Singh making National Games Organizing Committee President RK Anand, his son Chetan Anand, General Secretary of Taekwondo Association of India Prabhat Sharma, Taekwondo Association of Jharkhand Sanjay Sharma, former ADG of ACB Neeraj Sinha and the Investigation Officer of the case Shailendra Sinha along with others as respondents.

“The chargesheet was filed against the three accused persons; Anand was spared as he succeeded in managing the ACB officials investigating the case. We have also submitted an audio CD along with its script where Anand has accepted that he paid Rs 35 lakh to a senior ACB official to spare him,” said petitioner’s advocate Rajiv Kumar.

Misappropriation of more than Rs 28 crore was found in the National Games following which an FIR was lodged by the ACB on October 6, 2010.
