After getting elected leader of the JMM’s legislative body former Chief Minister Hemant Soren was officially designated as the leader of the Opposition (loP) in the fourth Assembly. Speaker Dinesh Oraon read out an order in this regard on Thursday. “Hemant Soren has been elected leader in the JMM’s legislative body meeting. The JMM is the largest party in the Opposition. I designate the party as the main Opposition party and Hemant Soren as leader of Opposition. The order would be effective from January 7, 2015,” said the Speaker. loP enjoys a Cabinet Minister’s status.
