Jharkhand High Court heard the Intervention Application 4421/16 submitted by Empower Jharkhand on Wednesday to stay construction of park on Distillery pond in Kokar.
lawyers representing the NGO informed about the construction, in response to which, the court has demanded a detailed report on the matter from Ranchi Municipal Corporation.
Using concrete on a water body which in itself carries out water harvesting is wrong, stated Empower Jharkhand Chairman Aditya Vikram Jaiswal. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for next week.
