The Assembly on Thursday passed a resolution unanimously to setup a bench of Jharkhand High Court at Dumka. Extending their consent on the proposal of JMM’s legislator Stephen Marandi, members from all the parties backed it and agreed to make a request to the Centre in this regard. “The Government is committed for setting up a bench of the High Court at Dumka.
I move a proposal in this regard and request the House to pass an unanimous resolution, which would be sent to the Centre for approval,” said Minister CP Singh. JVM Pradeep Yadav also backed the move on which Speaker Dinesh Oraon announced that a unanimous resolution had been passed by the House and will be sent to the Union Government. Dumka, over 300 kms from Ranchi, happens to be the second capital of the State.
