Very soon production of cotton clothes will start in Hazaribagh open jail. On Thursday a handloom training center was inaugurated in the open jail premises.
Jailor CP Suman informed that 8 handloom machines have been fitted here. Expert trainers will train the inmates of this open jail. After completion of training they will start weaving clothes. It will provide them employment.Initially we have selected 9 inmates of this open jail for handloom training. The raw material will be supplied from the handloom center of JP Central Jail.
In first phase only cotton clothes will be prepared here but after sometimes production of silk cloth will also start in this open jail, added Suman. With this initiative now cloth production units will start working in both JP Central Jail and Hazaribagh Open Jail.
