Garhwa Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Pathak has directed all the Block Development Officers, Circle Officers and the police Station Officer-in-Charge to ensure compliance of the lockdown instructions on the occasion of Eid ul Juha (Bakrid) after holding a meeting with the concerned community members at the block level .
The Deputy Commissioner said that on 1 August, Eid ul Juha (Bakrid) festival is possible. On this occasion, there is a tradition of offering namaz by the people of the concerned community. In view of the rising outbreak of Covid-19 epidemic, the lockdown is declared in the entire state. All the shrines are closed in light of the instructions given earlier for lockdown. In such a situation, it is completely prohibited to gather in groups in religious and public places or any other place.
He has instructed all the Block Development Officers, Circle Officers and police Station Officer-in-Charge to convene a meeting with the people of the concerned community within their area and make them aware of the above instructions and ensure compliance of the instructions.
