A Bokaro district court sentenced five persons for rigorous imprisonment on charges of abduction and rape of a minor girl. The minor was abducted and raped on 15 March 2007 at Sabra village under Chandankiyari block of Chas in Bokaro district.
The Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADJ) Satya Prakash Sinha awarded ten years rigorous imprisonment to one of the accused Bhudeo Bauri and four others Gopla Das, Babloo Bauri, Sanjay Gope and Koyla Bauri were sentenced with five years rigorous imprisonments each.
The court also imposed a penalty of Rs 2,000 each on the culprits. In case they fail to deposit the fine, they would have to undergo imprisonment for three more months”, said Ranjit Giri advocate of the District Court Bokaro.
