A meeting of the tourism promotion committee was held in the chairmanship of DC Binod Kumar in which some sites were chosen to be developed as tourist places including Khakhparta, Korambe, Akhileshwar Dham, Namudag, Peshrar regions and Nandini dam.
Also District foundation day would be observed on May 17 and 18 and would be linked to the tourism promotion programme. A stoppage would be constructed at the jungles of Baxi Dipa to attract the visitors. Fairs as well cultural programmes would also be organised.
On the occasion senior forest and administrative officials including DSP Ashish Mahli, CO Anurag Tiwary and others were present.
