Chief Secretary Sajal Chakraverty on Wednesday held a meeting with the administrative and police officials at the outlawed People’s liberation Front of India (PlFI) heartland in Khunti. The CS was accompanied by Home Secretary NN Pandey and DGP Rajiv Kumar among others.
According to sources the CS visited some schools in remote areas of the district. He also visited the schools which reportedly remained closed since the past week followed by the diktat passed by the rebel outfit ordering rural teachers to keep the schools closed. The meeting was held at Rania in Khunti.
Sources revealed that the CS also found one private school allegedly run by the ultras in the remote area of the district. A senior police official said that discussions took place regarding the steps being taken to drag out the rebels from the area during the top officials visit today.
