Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yojana launched by the Jharkhand government for women in the age group of 21-50 years is facing technical errors leading to failure in registration of beneficiaries. The state government, in order to ensure the enrollment of the eligible women, had decided to set up special camps in all the panchayats and wards of all the districts from 3-10 August 2024.

But as the system has been struck due to technical error, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has directed to resolve this technical problem as soon as possible. It has also been said that special camps will be organized till August 15 to connect women with this scheme. Earlier the camp was to be held till August 10.

The Mukhyamantri Maiyaan Samman Yojana was earlier called Jharkhand Behan Beti Swavalamban Protsahan Yojana.

The Mukhyamantri Maiyaan Samman Yojana aims to empower the women of the state by making them financially strong. It also aims to improve the level of education, health and nutrition of women by providing them with financial assistance.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren on social media site 'X'. In his post, he has also congratulated the women of the state on the launch of Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yojana (JMMSY). The CM has said that information has been received about the initial problems faced by the sisters in taking advantage of the scheme. He has instructed the officials to resolve the technical problems as soon as possible.

Hemant Soren has further written that a meeting of senior officials has also been held on this subject. Tremendous enthusiasm is being seen among the women of Jharkhand regarding the scheme. Therefore, he has also instructed the officials to increase the number of Pragya Kendras across the state.

The Chief Minister said that I want to tell all the sisters that this is a permanent scheme. There is no time limit to avail the benefits of the scheme. Even after the special camp, needy sisters can go to their nearest Pragya Kendra and join this scheme anytime.

There was chaos in the camps organized across the district for the Chief Minister Mainiya Samman Yojana. Only a few women were registered due to the server being down. There was a shortage of forms. Due to this, forms were sold by getting photocopies made at many places. Due to this, there was anger among the women. The Mukhyamantri Maiyaan Samman Yojana is a direct benefit transfer (DBT) scheme in which eligible women beneficiaries receive Rs 1000 per month from the state government directly in their bank accounts.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren and State Women and Child Development Minister Baby Devi will transfer the first instalment to the beneficiary's account on 16 August 2024. Women in the age group of 21-50 years are eligible for the scheme. The beneficiary's annual income shall be less than Rs 8 lakh per annum.
