The ruling coalition is ready to brave pre-determined attacks during the Monsoon Session commencing on Friday as the opposition is all set to corner it over the issues like domicile and providing employment to the local youths.
The eight day long monsoon session of Jharkhand Assembly will be held from August 21 to 28. “We are going to demolish this Government as the Opposition is all set to show its might inside the house,” said JMM Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya.
Primary issues, which we are going to raise in the house during this monsoon will be of unconstitutional Government being run in the state for more than six month and huge violation of Central rules along with the violation of constitutional provisions in the country, said Bhattacharya.
“Moreover, we will also oppose Government’s move of announcing one lakh employment to the local youths without declaring the domicile policy of this State,” added Bhattacharya. “The CM, even moving a step further, also promised jobs to the people of Bihar during his visit to Bihar, which is objectionable,” he added.
Despite the fact that the house has been called for a short period of time, we will disrupt the house until and unless our demands are met, said Bhattacharya.
The ruling alliance on the other hand, is all prepared to run the house in a dignified and peaceful way.
“We are ready to discuss on any of the issues raised in the house by the opposition and try to satisfy them in a dignified and peaceful way,” said Urban Development Minister CP Singh.
Assembly is meant for raising issues; the opposition will do their duty while we will do our job in the house, said Singh.
Congress on the other hand, is of the view that the house should go on interrupted, but the house will definitely get interrupted if the Government maintains silence against the questions asked by the oppositions.
“The dignity of the house could only be maintained by healthy discussion inside the house. There are several issues like employment and domicile, on which the government had made some promises during the Budget Session, must be put on the floor of the house for a discussion during this session,” said Congress Spokesperson lKN Shahdeo.
The government however, added Shahdeo, will be cornered over the status of employment and domicile which was promised to the people of this state just after taking over the charge.
“The CM on the one hand talks of giving benefits of domicile for the natives of this state, while on the other hand, promises employment to the people of Bihar,” said Shahdeo. Party Ml’s however will sit together late in the night on Thursday to chalk out the strategy to corner the Government inside the house.
JVM MlA Pradeep Yadav also asserted that his party’s focus will be on highlighting the assurances given by the government during the budget session which are yet to be fulfilled by them.
“Other issues which are going to rock the house during this session also includes domicile, corruption and the carelessness at Deoghar where 10 pilgrims got killed leaving over 50 injured during the stampede,” said Yadav.
Meanwhile, a joint meeting was held late in the night at the residence of leader of opposition Hemant Soren to chalk out the strategy for cornering the ruling alliance in the house.
