BJP slams Kharge on statement against PM Modi

PNS

State BJP unit today reacted strongly against Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks during Congress rally in Ranchi on Tuesday. State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev, while addressing a press conference, said that today when Kharge took out his sword, it turned out to be against the country, contrary to general expectations. People expected that Pakistan would be given a stern warning. But he questioned the intentions of the country's intelligence agency and the Prime Minister.

Pratul said that at this time when the whole country is demanding in one voice to finish off the terrorists and their masters, such a statement by the national president of the country's second largest party will send a wrong signal in the country and abroad.

He said that the BJP does the politics of nationalism. That is why we have never questioned the failure of intelligence. The 26/11 Mumbai attacks and the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi by her bodyguard in the Prime Minister's residence are the two biggest intelligence failures of the country. But, the BJP did not question it at that time, looking at the current situation of the country. Rather, the BJP stood completely with the government.

Pratul said that the President of America, Barack Obama, had clearly written in his book A Promised Land that when he met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who told him that he did not attack Pakistan after the 26/11 Mumbai attacks because the Bharatiya Janata Party would have benefited from it due to the anti-Muslim atmosphere. The BJP opposes this thinking. For the BJP, the country comes first. Only after that comes the party and politics.

Pratul said that today it was expected that Mallikarjun Kharge would publicly apologize for the atrocities committed during the emergency and the 42nd constitutional amendment. But nothing like this happened. The biggest attempt to murder the Constitution was made during the Emergency, when the rights of the people were abolished. An attempt was made to change the entire constitution through the 42nd amendment. Today the same Congress is pretending to save the Constitution. But the public has not forgotten their old misdeeds.

The BJP Spokesperson said that the census conducted in the country from 1872 to 1931 also had a column for caste. In 1951, the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru removed this column from the census. From 1980 to 1990, two full majority governments of Congress suppressed the Mandal Commission report that gave 27% reservation to the backward classes. When VP Singh's government presented this report, the then opposition leader and Rahul Gandhi's father, late Rajiv Gandhi, opposed the Mandal Commission point by point in the Lok Sabha and called it a law that would break the country. Rajiv Gandhi had also said that this would create conditions of civil war.
