A youth ended his life by hanging himself at his house under Chas police station in Bokaro district last night. Deceased Jagdish Dutta (22) was depressed as he was unemployed and even not selected in any government services, said OC of the local police station. “Irked over his failures he committed suicide,” added the OC.
Jagdish was depressed since past few days, last night he did not take his dinner and went to sleep in his room, said Shyam Dutta father of the deceased.
“At around, 9 pm when I knocked on the door for his dinner he did not open the door.
later with the help of neighbours we broke the door, found my son hanging from the roof,” he added.
Immediately we rushed him to the local hospital where doctors referred to Bokaro General Hospital (BGH). We rushed at BGH where doctors declared him brought dead, said Shyam.
Parents, neighbours and his friends are in a state of shock after the incident. Police recovered the body and sent for postmortem.
“A UD (unnatural Death) case has been registered and we are investigating into the matter,” said Pramod Pandey OC Chas Police station.
