Simdega girls in National Hockey team
Three girls Sangeeta Kumari, Salima Tete and Alka Dung Dung from Simdega district have been selected in National Hockey team on Wednesday. Around four girls from Jharkhand will be the part of National Hockey team. Former Hockey player and Captain Anshuta lakra have been selected as the coach and will fly to Spain on October 20.
Netarhat School entrance exam
For the academic session 2016-17, Netarhat Residential School will conduct entrance examination on February 12. The exam will be conducted by Admission conducting body of the School constituted this year. Notably, earlier the entrance exam was conducted by Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC). The decision has been considered after finding the muddle in entrance exam conducted last year.
Postmen awarded in NPW
Jharkhand Circle of India Post celebrated Savings Bank Day on Wednesday during ongoing National Postal Week (NPW), which was inaugurated on October 9 to conclude on October 15. Awarding the Postmen who offered exceptional service, Chief Postmaster General (Jharkhand Circle) Anil Kumar said at the occasion that the department offered free CBS facilities in any of the Post Office in Jharkhand. He also encouraged people for small savings, especially for girl child. He said that the Department would open as many as 16 Postal Payment Bank branches next year.
