Notification issued for phase-V poll
Notification for phase-V of Assembly elections was issued on Wednesday and two nominations were made on the day of the notification. Both nominations were made by JVM candidates. Meanwhile nominations for phase-IV ended on Wednesday with 69 nomination made by candidates on the last day. Total nomination for phase-IV reached 243 by the end of the nomination process.
Award ceremony for forest dept held goa
Workshop and award ceremony to facilitate the medal winners in the all India forest sports meet held in Goa from November 3 to 8. The medal winners of the previous year (2013) and the team officials were also facilitated for their outstanding work in selecting the Jharkhand team. Dr DK Srivastava, PCCF was the chief guest on the occasion while the medal winners — AM Sharma, Dinesh Kumar, AK Malhotra, RK Sinha (all 4 for Bridge) — BRONZE, Vinita Munda (For 400 metres walk) — BRONZE, KZ Bhutia (For lawn tennis) — Silver, Villiam Horo (For Power lifting) — BRONZE, AT Mishra, (For Badminton veterans) — SIlVER, Umesh Pandey (For Power lifting) GOlD. The contributions of the following persons were also acknowledged for management of the event, AK Gupta, PCCF, and nodal officer for sports, BC Nigam, PCCF, Wild life, Mahendra Prasad, Team Manager, Parwesh Agarwal, Assyrian team manager, Bishwanath Singh (Sports authority of India).
State family planning cell orgainses Workshop
State family planning cell on Wednesday organised one-day workshop in the leadership of Director-in-chief, Health Services, Dr Sumant Mishra. The workshop was organised to assess training needs of ANMs. Foundation for Research in Community Health was the co-organisers of the workshop.
CS, DGP visit Chaibasa and Simdega
Chief Secretary Sajal Chakraverty along with DGP Rajiv Kumar on Wednesday visited Simdega and Chaibasa districts of Jharkhand ahead of Assembly elections and reviewed the problem of Naxalism in the area. In order to keep away the red ultras from the area, both CS and DGP directed to continue the ongoing anti-Naxal operations in both districts. They also held a meeting with the senior officials of CRPF and district police of the districts.
Swachhta Abhiyan at Kislaya academy
A Swachhata Abhiyan was organised at Kislaya academy on Tuesday as children cleaned the premises of Kislaya academy. They also cleaned the streets around the school. Teachers also participate with the children. Director, Awesh Sinha and principal were also present along with the children.
