School students get uniforms from NTPC
Hazaribagh: NTPC Keredari coal mining project gave uniforms to primary school students of Kewad village in Keredari block, under their community development programme. NTPC officer Kamal Ram Rajak and Kuldip Bara said the company would continue to support students in their overall development, for a better future. Village body representative Md Shamim and school staffs expressed their gratitude.
Policeman gets 10 yrs' RI for raping minor
Bokaro: The district court on Thursday sentenced a policeman to ten years' rigorous imprisonment for raping a minor girl. Additional District & Sessions Judge-II Satya Prakash Sinha also imposed a penalty of Rs 5,000 on Praveen Kumar Soren (32) for the 2008 sexual assault. "He will have to undergo imprisonment for six more months if he fails to deposit the fine," said advocate Ranjit Giri.
