Two programmes on child nourishing and responsible parenting -- “Parwarish Ke Champion” and “Navankur” -- were on Friday launched by the Department of Women and Child Development in Chhattisgarh.
The programmes are to run under the aegis of the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) to ensure inclusive development of children.
An official communication said the Anganwadi Didis and observers would be taught about identification of objects by children in the “Navankur” programme. Under the “Parwarish Ke Champion” programme, parents would learn responsible parenting.
The educative programme will also discuss emotional and physical requirements of the children and how to respond to them.
An educative kit would be provided free of cost to the Anganwadis and identified parents across the state, the communication said.
