Uike: No Cong without Jogis

PNS

Congress legislator from Pali-Tanakhar, Ramdayal Uike once again came in defense of former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi and his son Amit Jogi on Monday while stating that without them the Congress party cannot form the Government in Chhattisgarh.

Uike who is considered as a hardcore Jogi loyalist had openly criticised Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) for expelling Marwahi MlA Amit Jogi and recommending removal of Ajit Jogi from party high command.

He opined that Jogis are leaders with mass base and without their support, the Congress party cannot form government in Chhattisgarh.

Notably, CGPCC had expelled Amit Jogi after an audio tape purportedly suggesting involvement of Amit and Ajit Jogi in allegedly fixing Antagarh by-polls for BJP was released.

Meanwhile, the State Congress party spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi refused to comment over the views expressed by Uike while saying that he was not aware of the statement.
